BIOS Set Password

Goals

Set a BIOS password prevent unauthorized tampering

Setting the BIOS password means that a casual user would not be able to tamper with our settings, namely trying to override the boot order.

• BIOS password: First 7-characters of admin password

Procedures

Enter the Main BIOS Setup

• See Entering the BIOS Setup

Navigate to Set Admin Pasword

• Select Server Security from the main menu
• Select Set Admin Password

Specify the password

• Enter the First 7-characters of admin password
• If you enter more than 7, it will ignore the rest
